DESCRIPTION:Community Nights are just that\, a chance for locals to get out and enjoy just like communities in Europe have been doing for centuries! And why is this different than so many other evening events? Well\, the main reason is that it all about getting together (and not breaking the bank). \nFrom 6-8 pm\, come on up to Rucksack Cellars where the temperatures are forecasted to be perfect. We’ll have games out for people to play and tables set up in our outdoor tasting vista. Bring your own snacks and food\, relax and chat with community\, and watch the sun go down. The cost? Well\, it doesn’t cost anything to come and families are welcome. The menu will feature Maggie and Paul’s paella\, salad and dessert\, all paired with Rucksack wines! \nNow when it comes to paella\, there are all sorts of different recipes. Although most people think of paella as being only a Spanish rice dish\, we actually encountered it during our sabbatical in Cahors\, France\, where they would Rucksack sell it by the kilo in the market. For our paella\, we use sausage\, chicken\, shrimp and chorizo (as well as onions\, garlic\, peppers\, saffron\, and of course\, rice!). \nAs this is a small and intimate event\, Club Members may purchase 2 tickets per membership at the Club price of $45.00. For the rest of us\, it’s $50/person until it’s sold out. (And think about it. Wine and dinner for $50? That’s a steal!) DESCRIPTION:A regular at our weekly community nights throughout the summer and a supporter of Rucksack wines\, Richard Moore has opened the gluten-free bakery on Main Street in Placerville called\, Flourless Patisserie. Even before he opened his brick and mortar location\, at our community nights\, we discussed our mutual desire to pair Rucksack wines with Flourless treats. \nOn Monday\, February 19 from 6pm – 8pm\, we will pair four Rucksack wines with four treats from Flourless Patisserie. We will feature two savory and two sweet with our wines at an evening event that showcases two local businesses. \nTickets are $40/person ($35/person for Rucksack Club members) \nTickets are already selling fast!
