Tickets are almost sold out for an unforgettable evening on the farm, featuring a delicious wine and food paired meal featuring produce and wine from Apple Hill Grower Farms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis dinner is an opportunity to showcase the bountiful products from our Apple Hill Grower farms,\u201d said Chris Delfino of Delfino Farms and President of the Apple Hill Growers Association. \u201cWe\u2019re also thrilled to work with a local chef to feature such a variety of products, proving we\u2019re not just about apples but also incredible year-round produce, baked goods and wine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The evening will begin with a cocktail hour with Grower hard cider, wine and passed appetizers, followed by a four-course seated dinner with spectacular views of Delfino Farms\u2019 beautiful vineyards. The multi-course meal will be prepared by Placerville chef John Sanders of Old Town Grill with ingredients from local farms. The menu includes herb crusted pork tenderloin with black currant compote, grilled scallops with stone fruit jam and eggplant pinwheels with microgreens and ch\u00e8vre.<\/p>\n<p>Each course will be paired with Apple Hill wines from wineries such as Lava Cap Winery, Madro\u00f1a Vineyards, and Boeger Winery, to name a few. The finale will be a throwback to how the Apple Hill Growers Association began \u2013 a dessert smorgasbord featuring the best of the area\u2019s bakeshops.<\/p>\n<p>Placerville musician Patrick Walsh will set the mood with live music. The singer-songwriter was raised in the foothills and often incorporates local history and experiences into his songs.<\/p>\n<p>Apple Hill Growers Association is grateful for the support of its community partners, Raley\u2019s is the dinner\u2019s Premier Sponsor, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Raley\u2019s Food for Families program.
