Once you\u2019ve filled your basket with crisp apples, why not bring the taste of Apple Hill Growers into your own kitchen? This easy, old-fashioned apple cake is moist, fragrant with cinnamon and nutmeg, and perfect for sharing after your day in the orchards.<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/h4>\n

\uf0b7 2 cups sugar
\n\uf0b7 \u00bd cup oil
\n\uf0b7 2 eggs
\n\uf0b7 4 cups diced apples
\n\uf0b7 2 cups flour
\n\uf0b7 2 teaspoons baking soda
\n\uf0b7 1 teaspoon nutmeg
\n\uf0b7 2 teaspoons cinnamon
\n\uf0b7 1 teaspoon salt
\n\uf0b7 1\u00bd cups chopped walnuts<\/p>\n

Preparation<\/h4>\n

1. Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease a 9\u201dx13\u201d pan.
\n2. In a large bowl, stir together sugar, oil, and eggs until well mixed.
\n3. Add in diced apples and nuts.
\n4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Stir into apple mixture until just combined (do not overmix).
\n5. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour, or until golden and set.<\/p>\n
